I bought the Razer Tarantula Voodoo special edition keyboard because I was looking for a new keyboard. I wanted a keyboard that was more about the gaming applications then one that was for general use. I previously had the Logitech Wave with the ergonomic keyboard fit. I enjoyed it but it did actually get on my nerves every so often.

I picked up the Razer Tarantula Voodoo edition because it matched my mouse i just bought. If given the option I will match up products to keep with color schemes. Purely aesthitic.

Anyway, The keys are responsive, the manufacturers boast a .01ms delay for the signal to be relayed. The keyboard is low profile, has a decent amount of weight so it does not shift during game play. The macro keys can be re-bound without a problem. The keys are silent and to the best of my knowledge I have not even heard them when I tap them. I do not make it a point to try to listen but if I can i generally remember.

Umm, i am relatively new to reviews so I do not know exactley what to say except that this has not given me a problem. The default software that came with the keyboard was simple to use and i have yet to even need to open the program to fix a problem.

If you need a good gaming keyboard, i would give this one a hard look. MSRP is 99.00

first of all, thank you so much for the reviews. It's great to have people from within the community give us their experiences with products.

secondly, are you a freakin billboard for razer? :)

Rofl.. Yeah HaZe calls me a corporate whore. >_< I bought the headset first, then the mouse/keyboard from the e-bay links i posted for ya'll then the sound-card off of e-bay for 80. Damn good deal. Anyway, Those are the only razer products i own *except 2 special edition hats... sigh perhaps i am a corporate whore* and when I get home I will review the other products I own. eVGA gts 250+, Wolfdale duo core 3.16 cpu, ecs elite-group P45t-A, Hannspree 26 inch widescreen monitor. etc...

I suppose i should post pics of my rig as well however, my cable management is extremely lacking.

I would of reviewed the wave setup i had but the wireless seems to be a problem for most gamers so IMO not worth the review.

Some people like Saitek/Logitech, I like Razer.

Well, with the Arctosa/Lycosa, you can use the numpad as macrokeys instead.
If that's any help.

I saw some other reviews for this, and apparently, the rubber for the keys fades away after prolonged use. In other words, say goodbye to WASD in 5-6 months.
