Incoming Danger LAN

Hey everyone. I amlooking at having a 50 person lan party on November 16th. I'm working on sponsors. Right now it's lookin like Bawls, Think Geek, Alienware, CaseAce, Strategy First, and maybe some promo stuff from Soyo. I'm going this weekend to check out our prospective location (96th and Meridian). If anyone is interested please let me know so I can see what kind of a turnout I'm lookin at. Also let me know if you could possibly provide a dedicated server. I'm trying to secure two right now but I would like 3. I'm going to try to keep registration at $15. I will have pizza and drinks included in registration and Bawls for sale (probably $1.00). Our web site is under construction but will be at http://www.id-lan.com. I'm prolly gonna have to make it prepay (i'm poor :(). $15 isn't too bad and i'll have paypal setup through registration. lemme know if u guys like the theme for the website. our splash is below. i am also in need of some switches. im covered on the small ones and im trying to get a hold of a 32port 10/100/1000 switch. I currently have a 16-port switch and a 24 port 10/100 hub.

Also for anyone whose reading, GallowGlass has donated his support of IGN/Area 51 so with his addition to the staff we have filled all the spots needed and will now start work on the projects. I've also decided to push it back yet again from October to November, and now from November to December. I want to be able to grab the most people possible for the 1st party. With Phreeks party and the iG LAN in November, I don't feel like it would be a wise thing to have Area51 in there too. People are gonna be all broke with 2 large parties going and all. So keep an eye out for the news, and Phreek drop, me an e-mail to xcodezerox@msn.com with whatever you need. I gotcha back, :)

hey oni ur case gonna be ready by then?:P anyways...would it be cool with u guys if i required prepay with paypal? i have to make my power cables (similar to those that run under the tables at indysmash and stompfest) plus im gonna buy like 10-15 cases of bawls. if i have enough money i may do a system simlar to rebo's and make em free. like divide em up evenly and monitor how many each person has left. ignis is workin on our intranet software. its gonna do tourney signup and randomized brackets. :) i should have more info for you guys on saturday.

Hey, I'll join in. Also I have a friend, g4rth, who will want to come too. As for servers, I can get one that has an Athlon 1700+ XP, depending if i get my 2200+ proc from the UT tournament in time. Is there a site that has some more info on this?

variabl3 is workin on the site. it should be up in a few weeks. registration will start when the site is up. i figured out an incentive for people to prepay. if you prepay then u get 4 bawls for free. if u don't...then they're $1.00 each.

Hey guys. Ignis here, one of the co-organizers of the ID LAN. We're going to have some badass stuff planned for the LAN, so keep your eyes open. We're working on the website, and it should be available in the next few weeks.

Registration will be available mid-October, when the website is up. We're also going to introduce brand new LAN software which we will eventually market free to the entire worldwide LAN community. You guys will get a first preview at it and potentially have your name in it as the ORIGINAL beta testers. Yeah, mega woot. :)

AsylumLAN is going on November 16th in Evansville. I'm not sure yet if this will affect our schedule or not.

Ignis is a moron. Evansville is too far away to affect ID LAN. :D Anyways....WE HAVE A CONFIRMED LOCATION!!! The party will be held at the Belle Meade Manor Clubhouse on November 16th. It's at 96th and Meridian. We have the entire upstairs of the place. It's bigger than the room at the Signature Inn (for you indysmash guys). We won't be using the downstairs (costs extra). I will provide directions and parking restrictions when the site is up.

Thanks for the heads up CodeZero. Actually, I'm writing software from the ground up specifically targeted for LAN parties. The website (and the Intranet) will be powered by it.

Public Registration should be open by this weekend. It will be prepay only. I had to do this so that I can have plenty of Bawls for everyone. Its only $15. You get 4 free bawls and pizza included.
