Battlefield 1942

has anybody played battlefield 1942 yet? i havent gotten a chance to try it yet and i was just wondering about everybody's thoughts on it.

Yep, played the demo, and I love it. The full game comes out tomorrow and it will be one of the very few games that I purchase.

Ok which version will be played at SF? Retail (avail in 1-2 days) or Download Demo? Are the compatible with each other?? (If I go and buy retail am I gonna be stuck and have to leech download from someone?)

Indygamers is going to be putting up a Battlefield 1942 server at Stompfest, and I would like to see a group get together and take us on.

This is the best team based game I have seen in quite sometime. you need specialists in different areas to conquer on this game.

well i think the game releases on the 14th of this month. ill be wanting to play the ful version. And pending hopefully everyone will "buy" a copy of this game. I know im going to purchase it when it releases. I'm so excited about this game. Its so fun its almost wrong.

Yes this is a great game and does require quite the calvary with different specialties. BBA will also be hosting a strong BF server! w00t, let the carnage begin!

I can't begin to express how much this game has impressed me. I am a History major and a WW2 history buff, and the attention to detail is amazing.

If anyone hasn't seen it they need to check out the video on the BF1942 website that is played to one of the most important speeches Churchill gave during the war.

I have platyed the demo and it pretty much rocks. Only problem was dealing with tkers and apparent glitches or cheats. The glitch was shooting a guy in stomach with .45cal at about 10 ft. emptied all 7 rounds into him and he grabs stomach and starts to fall, shoots me once, I die and he walks away. Was rahter confused about that. But overall it rocks.

WEll I was all jazzed to try it, installed, hmm single player would launch then shut down. Same thing with multi. I downloaded patch, will try it tonight...... lets hope.

i notetice that unles you shoot one bulltet at a time you dont hit any thing

oni the whole only shoot once to hit is because they melded multiple EA games into BF 1942. The aiming came from Special Ops, theme from MOHAA, vehicles from Renegade, and I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting something else. And Special Ops has aiming that relies on if your moving or not and how fast your shooting, just like CS.

Have you messed with the refresh rate on your monitor? I had mine set to 100 Hertz. Once I put it back down to 60 it worked just fine.. Nothing would happen cept I'd see a small command window for a second when in 100 hertz.

if you actully took the time to paly cs alot you would see that it is how fast you shoot and how fast you run if just hold down the trigger you will see no accercy at all so what ever Zoine

The 1.1 patch fixed it. But this thing still runs pretty slow (loading and exiting) I will sit at a black screen for 20 sec or so. Made me think at first that it crashed.

well i notice you have to have more ram to run it faster cause when i ran it with mIRC running it took LITLERY 10 min to join a game with out took about a min so as u can ee systemk resources are very importtant to this game:D
