what's the word? cs will be the most popular tournament (hasn't lost it's steam yet), will that be rewarded with a $500 1st place prize like last time?

sure it can its had more than a long enough life not people need to let go and try to play something else. but most wont because they suck at everything else

Retail or Hax0red... Choose a Flavor. I have a fully functional multi/single player copy now. SooOoooo...... Stompfest will r0x0r even if its not out by that time. They estimated Sept 22nd for the retail copy.

With the group thats releasing the betas... Im guessing just the same. They seem to have someone inside either a developer or a publisher helping spread the files. IM all stoked, cuz the 927 build is the shiznit!

nah i just got burnt out on playing it. because no one want to have fun they just wanna take it seriously. no one liked playing pac-man and walmart maps, or speedball and concrete.

Barton... that was kinda wrong....

We don't suck at CS, we just excel at other games. Unlike "CS" players I have a multitude of skills and experience in various other games. CS'rs are just on for the CS train, and once this whole train crashes into a brick wall, they'll go back to being normal nobodies.

Hm thats funny, because I happen to be pretty damn good at CS, DoD, Q3/RA3... 3 extremely different games.

Sorry let me re-phrase that. The new-age gamers who hopped on the gaming train and bought brand new PC's with their allowance JUST to play CS. There is a select few people who have lives outside of CS, and I apologize to those people f which I mistakenly bashed on. :)

I also have played many games before cs, and I'm sure I'll play many after cs, and be good at them all. So CodeZero, I think your argument lacks any validity at all :(

Rebo shouldn't want CS to die. It's the most popular game in the world right now we are even seeing with the formation of the UGS that people can play online for a $5000 championship.

While CS is getting old, that tournament you put on is probably what has people driving in from 3 states for. I bet attendance would be cut in least by half if there was no CS tournament.

Face it guys, we ALL loved video games, but right now, it's the team based games that are paying pro-gamers and drawing he most attention to our "sport" or hobby, whichever way you look at it. CS is it for now, but something better ALWAYS comes along. . .

Myself, I'm looking into checking out MOHAA and UT2003 after I'm done with CS.

I've been playing CS for almost three years now, and it is just old and tired. It was so much better back in Beta 5.2 :\ There I go, waxing nostalgic.

Yeah I'll get onto this whole SoF2 bandwagon and actually play it. I've played CS for a little over a couple months now and I never actually dedicated myself to it. Hell I even prefer UT Assault over it, prolly cause I love it though. But I never loved CS, everyone's just WAY to serious when they play, and games are meant to be fun. To all you CS whores out there, fo0king relax already and calm the fo0k down when I forget to plant(aka my first month). Relax and have a good time with your friends, and don't worry who knifes who and just play the damn game with SOME type of joy.

Hey now... relax man they were international rules and it was a tourney. We didn't enforce them cause we were relaxing having fun, and you guys woulda got serious about it. I just brought that up to prove that you guys lost either way you look at it. It doesn't matter just find us a server running the latest release of Pure, set up for face, no mutators, and we will show you that you all lost again.
