Stompfest has a few 24-port 10/100mb Kingston hubs for sale or trade.
Most are prefectly fine; some have a port or two missing.
If interested let me know.

Sorry to be cynical, but saying its missing a port or two so casually is very amusing to me.

Yeah the missing a port or two was funny. Just like, "Oh, you lost your index finger, wanna play CS?"

I was thinking about it, my only problem right now is money. Scoot took the job I was going to get. Maybe he can throw some money.

Never a mac shack, but I was going to put in apps at a few grocery stores. So I should be able to nab one of those.

$90 for a complete 24-port hub.
We'll knock off a few bucks for each bad port.
If you have any question about the hubs or price. Please e-mail me... I don't check the Forum every day.

Actually, under a load, the 2900 series aren't as fast as many other, sometimes less expensive, switches. Forcing store and forward has it's disadvantages. The issue with hubs isn't max throughput, it's duplex. Which makes me question the individual claiming 8.9 megs/sec. That's nearing saturation on a full duplex link, if he means megabytes....
